Me: prefer left mid, sweeper, or holding mid, will play anywhere tho'
I am:
depending on our formation I prefer the left back (But Craig's baggsied it...), left wing back or playing on the left of two centre backs. The right will be fine if not, just nothing too far forward please (barn doors etc.).
Expect little skill, lots of enthusiasm and running, plus some tasty challenges.
Depending on my availiablity on the day, i will raise a tentative hand.
Me: fat kid in defence
Warning - i am shit, this is not modesty. i'm not even entirly sure of the rules, but sounds like a laugh.
Can we have our strip design and team name based on some sort of meme?
Can we wiki our tactics?
Can we order the strips from spreadhsirt?
insert additional web cliche's
I'd be up for it. Normally play right back or right mid, although again, pretty happy to play wherever. Any ideas for where it'd be played? I think you can hire out the Tally Ho pitch down by Canon Hill Park for about £80. Not sure if that helps?
Tally Ho pitches are quality, good shout John (already thinking this team is looking Jo(h)n heavy - start cultivating nicknames dudes)
I bagsied left-back early doors, but I can play centre-half if needed. Right-back at a push.
I can possibly borrow a kit from PKFC, although no promises there..let me find out. Equally, I'd be happy to chip in a few quid to help get one as hopefully this may become a regular thing. We're gonne need a team name. Something cool, obviously.
Happy also to take the first training session. I suggest the Hare n Hounds as a venue.
To conclude, I'm over the moon but conscious that we need to just take each game as it comes.
Nicknames. When I hacked my bearded way around the Birmingham Sunday Leagues for PKFC, I was known either as Socrates or The Shoebomber.
I'll come along =) sounds fun. I can play midfield or forward. right footed.
I've had management experience - Dogpool Rovers, South Birmingham Sunday League Division Three (but will need an assistant…)
A full kit would run at about £150. Not too bad....Twitter names on the back, club logo etc may be a little more.
I'm in for a few bob if needed. Obviously, a lucrative sponsorship deal with a local company may prove useful here. We must know someone with a degree of commercial acumen...
any local companies making use of Twitter, maybe some kind of sponsorship?
I'm in.
Either centre-back or up front. Centre-mid if I have to.
Struggling for a nickname but The Big Unitt and a certain other name for Peter Crouch have been used in the past.
I cannot defend, but I can cut in from the left. Think of me as the small dog in the video on YouTube (any one) that runs onto the pitch and chases after the ball. Generally useless but with chaotically unpredictable flashes of skill. The Terrier.
i would like my nickname to be "Doc Awesome" its ironic because i am neither a doctor or awesome
I'm in. Preferred position: left midfield. Style: midfield terrier.
BUMP
If my maths is right we have 8?
Seems about right - although I'm sure more that than have expressed an interest (plus I was planning on getting a burgalar to play in goal).
Big Paws studio teaboy Dylan is in - striker (well 18 years old and fit, so up front so we can whack the ball to him).
Sorry I'm late posting, but am up for this. Not as quick as I used to be, but Powerleague is helping with that. Midfield or, at a push, Defence.
